Question:
Has anybody used any of these, particularly the supermarket variety, and
what kind of results could one actually expect. S.
Answer:
Mix:
1 part toothpaste
1 part baking soda
1 part hydrogen peroxide
Brush with this once a week to remove stains on teeth. DO NOT SWALLOW!
and/or rub them with a bay leaf once or twice a week.
Yes. With the Macleans version, expect exactly what they
promise...five shades whiter. Makes your tongue a little numb though
(only for the half hour it takes to use).
A fresh bay leaf, or will a dried one do?
Not sure never tried it. I imagine a dried one would crumble tho?
Could be very hard on the gums if little sharp bits snapped off. Fresh
bay leaves aren't that easy to get if you don't have a tree of your own.
It's a pity that they aren't more widely grown as ornamentals.
Would a bay rum mouthwash do instead? :-))
Yes I have and with very good results.
