Question:
Can anyone recommend a children's dentist? Preferably in the central
north austin area.
Answer:
Our family dentist is Hal Moore IV, he's in the Jefferson Building on the
west side of Shoal Creek off of 38th/35th. He actually managed to talk my
then-3yo into having his teeth polished :)
Make sure you stay in the room with these guys at all times with
your kid.
There has been an outpouring of criminal indictments all over the USA,
and they're finally being outed and caught, about dentists fondling and
molesting their patients.
It's best to be safe.
I remember a doctor who insisted to my Grandmother that I come
by myself and he tried to molest me!
I like Melanie Babot, who works in Scott Franklin's office on 35th Street
just off MoPac. The problem is, she only works there on Thursdays, since
her main practice is in Dripping Springs. I've heard good things about
Dr. Franklin (and actually got to Dr. Babot by accident after calling Dr.
Franklin's office), but I've never dealt with Dr. Franklin personally.
Melanie Babot is great with kids, and so are the hygienist and assistants.
you can also call and check to see if a dentist has ever had any
complaints on his record. and when you find complaints, ask him/her
about them.
