Question:
Have any of you tried it? I had a $9.00 coupon for Crest Whitening Strips,
and the strips were only $23.00 at BJ's Warehouse; so I decided that for
$14.00 I would give it a try. I have a pair of them on my teeth as I type
this. This is only day two of fourteen; so I'm waiting to see if I have
snow white teeth in two weeks. Having it done properly by the dentist is
way beyond my budget. Anybody?
Answer:
My dentist offers teeth whitening.
But when I researched it, I found out that after you
get it done, the teeth are more susceptible to becoming
stained again. So you're really locked into the treatments.
Has anyone else heard this?
I tried them. My teeth really did get white. Unfortunately my gums fell
out.
I use Efferdent nightly to soak em in. Once a month, I use a tad of
bleach to a cup of water.
I've thought about it but then I realize I'm grateful just to have most of my
homegrown teeth.
My daughter uses this product every few months and it works super good. She
feels it's the best of the bunch. She tried a couple of others that didn't
live up to their expectation.
I have used them (still have some), I couldn't remember to be regular
with them and stopped for some reason! I'm trying the one you "paint" on
now, if I can remember to use it! I thought I noticed my teeth were a bit
whiter with one weeks use of the strips so they probably do work.
Due too all the advertisements now on TV I asked my dentist about this on my
last routine visit.
He said they will work but if you have had any restorative work done on your
teeth the restored areas will not respond to the treatment. Therefore you will
have dark areas on your teeth. Also most older people have small cracks in
their teeth and these cracks will then show.
I decided to stay with the coffee stains.
