Question:
I have been given a quote for a gold crown capping the filling and
tooth mess underneath which used to be a rear molar.
I am working so have to pay the full wack.
What cost should I be looking at?
Three visits are needed - one to patch up the damage, the second to
prepare the molar for the crown & make a cast. The third to fit the
crown.
Any quotations gladly received!!!!!
Does anyone know where consumer information is available for
validating dental work/costs?
Answer:
About 70-100 quid. Which is better than not being able to eat properly. I've
just had some work done, It's well worth the agonizing pain of the drill and
projectile vomiting over the dentist and her nurse, when the impression
molds were applied!
I had 2 teeth drilled out (as opposed to being pulled) along with a piece of
my upper jaw last year. Most relaxing experience I ever had at the hands of
a dentist (seriously). The shock came when he told me, "no smoking or
alcohol for 48 hours". Good thing the pub was close by, or I might never
have got over the shock. :-)
I've had one of those abscess things a few years ago. I had a root canal
done. Pain! But worth it.
On my recent visit I also had tonsillitis when having me gob hacked to bits.
Which was nice.
you ever thought that maybe your dentist is a sadist?
Although I'm terrified of dentists, I've never had pain when having root
canal work done - in fact, I think that deep, slow drill they use to get
right down into your boots (not roots) kind of tickles cos it makes your
head vibrate...or maybe I'm just weird :)
Who said I was talking about weed? You mentioned vibrating head, I thought
that might be coz of your blood running around your body. If you sit very
very quietly in a dark room listening to your heart beat, you'll find that
every time your heart beats, your body vibrates ever-so-slightly.
