Question:
A Friend of mine long ago has sent me a print of "Dental Review"
or "Dental View" , it had rating and 1 year studies of new dental
materials in addition to follow-ups every consecutive year.
I found it very useful, unlike those catalogs, it show u how did the
Material performed when compared to the others, and unlike those
journals u can get a lot of information in a glance.
I wish somebody here knew similar publication that can be viewed on
the Internet, comparing and discussing the latest dental products
Objectively.
Answer:
Would that publication have any relation to www.dentalreview.com?--
there is a section for dentists there with info on materials under
the "Educational Resources" link.
http://www.dentalreview.com/dentists_corner.htm
i didn't find what i was looking for,
we dentists for most of the time depend completely on brochures of the
new products, such publications compare new materials by puting them
into service.
Try "Reality" unpaid review of many dental products and how to correctly use
them. It is updated regularly, no sponsorship, no advertisements. Depending
on the level you join it has internet capability.
www.realityesthetics.com
Have been a subscriber for well over a decade. Keep most back issues
chronologically in a 3 ring notebooks. Also have CRA disk 2000. CRA does a
good job on products and procedures. It's problem is organization,
comparisons with other materials, and
getting to a specific item. Have found "Reality" better illustrated, better
with comparisons, and better referenced than CRA. Also with Reality you know
the whole editorial and judging staff. Most of them read like a Who's who in
dentistry.
