Question:
Can Anyone suggest a good dentist in Raleigh (west-side, preferably) or
Cary? Also, preferably one who doesn't mind working on someone who
absolutely hates / is positively scared to death of / etc dentists? :)
Answer:
After a very bad experience at another Cary dentist, who also has a
Raleigh office, and who shall remain unnamed, but let's just say was
setting me up for a root canal which completely astounded the specialist I
saw (not only did I NOT need a root canal, when the doctor looked at my
records from these goofballs, they didn't even have the tooth number
correct!), I tried Dr. Lynn Godwin at the Northwoods Market shopping
center (corner of N. Harrison and Maynard). She is VERY kind (I am a
perfectly horrible dental patient), she has a very light touch, and her
assistants are all super-friendly and gentle.
She is in practice with her Dad, Dr. George Miller, who is also
excellent. Both are very conscientious and understanding. If they can put
up with >me<, they should be sainted!
My family is very happy with Dr. Jane Holt in Cary. She gave my
7-year old a filling and he didn't even notice the novocaine shot.
Her # is 851-6622, and her office is located around the intersection
of Tryon and Kildaire Farm roads in Cary.
I, too, very favorably recommend at least Dr. Miller - I haven't tried
Dr. Godwin yet. I have been a patient for many years (even before he moved
from Clyde, in western NC, to Cary) and his work and "touch" are both
exceptional and best of all he uses plenty of N2O ;->
I had to answer this one because I've moved recently and I really dislike
every doctor I've seen since I've moved, except my dentist. His name is
Lynn Wiggs and his number is 847-5955. His office is just past
Celebration at Six Forks. Everyone there is really nice, and he has the
latest equipment (stuff I'd only seen on T.V. before).
