Question:
Are there any dentists here in the Kansas City area who do implants? If so I
would greatly appreciate it if you would contact me! I have a LOT of
questions for you!
Answer:
Why? Don't you think that is
too broad and generalized an
endorsement? I'm sure there
are excellent dentists who took
the Misch Implant course (as
with any number of existing implant
training courses). By the same
token I am sure there are some
who have gone through the Misch
course that are borderline (just
like any number of implant training
courses.)
To you can lead a dentist to a course,
but you can't make him stink,
How many times do we dentists hear this fatuous little
subterfuge during the course of a lifetime? Often, we
try to convince the patient that root canal therapy is,
in fact, less expensive and probably better in the long
run, even considering the fecklessness of JanDrew notwithstanding.
Why? Because "the implant" 'thang seldom happens.
Other times, we just yank away! "Yankers-Away ... My
Boys ... Yankers Away!" (WWII song, when the ships were
leaving the harbor).
Please reread the posts below and you will see that
dental problems are really no more than societal,
financial, and educational problems. Whew! That is
enough!
Recommending expensive therapy is great, but it is
only theoretical for as much as 90% of the population.
Implant Dentistry is interesting to talk about, but it
just does not happen with any degree of regularity!
Good points...I also bet there are some who are better, no different or
worse that never took a single course. Regardless, sometimes things work
just great and other times it just wont matter what you know or where
you trained.
