Question:
I am new to the Arlington area and have been told by my new dentist that I
am in need of a root canal. The (new) dentist I went to was a bit of a flake,
and I really don't trust her recommendation. This would also act as a second
opinion, since I really don't trust her conclusions either. If it weren't for
the extreme pain, I wouldn't even be concerned.
I'm really nervous (interpret as scared silly) about the possibility of having a
root canal. Can you recommend someone that is really great (and I stress the
words "really" and "great")?
Answer:
I've had 6 root canals.. and they are a piece of cake! not to worry! I never once
felt any pain. The only thing
I didn't like was the all the time required... several hours. You just get tired of
opening your mouth for that long of time.
Take the advice of your dentist..and go get it over with.. you'll be glad when you
did!
I use Dr Starr in Arlington. He is on Mitchell, just south and west of
UTA. He's been in practice for years. And for someone that hates to
go to the dentist, he has made it so much more enjoyable. Plus I had a
root canal 2 years ago, and had absolutly so pain from it.
Whatever you do, avoid Dr. Steve Ratcliff in North Arlington on Randoll Mill
Rd. This joker will take you and your insurance company for a ride! Of course,
if you like over paying and being ripped off, then I would recommend him!
