Question:
I wonder if at least the state dental boards having listings of dentists
with complaints or suits against them? Iknow on some of the medical
board sites they list this. If not, I wonder if you can call and get
this information? Might not mean anything except a suit-happy patient,
but if there were a lot of complaints I'd probably pass.
Answer:
You people just had to mention dentists today, didn't you? In three hours,
I'm to take two of the three Halcion pills and head off in a taxi to the
dentist. I met with him on Monday and felt comfortable with everyone on his
staff. Dr. Perry will be removing all but seven of my bottom teeth. Sadly,
years of smoking and recently diagnosed T2 diabetes have wrecked the rest of
my teeth. Of course, drinking vanilla Coke all my life didn't help, I
guess.
I have had the good fortune of going to the same guy since he went into
practice. I met him 25+ years ago when he and his wife were pregnant with
their first child, they needed a babysitter, chose me and I accepted, and
we bartered services. When I lived in Pittsburgh for a short while, I asked
around, hated the first guy I went to, and settled on a dentist who is the
brother in law of my then boss.
I honestly don't know how I'd choose a new one, but I'd definitely ask
around.
I don't so much as fill out papers in the dentist's office
without pills! I don't get THREE Halcion, though. I get a Halcion nad
another kind that I can't remember the name of.
