Question:
Is there anyone on the planet that can understand VA Dental
regulations? They wrote it and revise it so even God cannot understand
its meaning! I read it, and read it again, it is all double talk, it
looks like it fits the hospital administrator's decisions. (if there
is one). is there someone that a Vet can ask at the VA? I use the San
Diego VA< but whenever a doctor puts in a request it is rejected. I
have an appointment with an outside Dental School, but it would be
nice for the VA to be in the works. The dental problems I have are
related to intestinal disease and need oral surgery done. Whoever
writes those regs should be beaten and horsewhipped for writing regs
so poor they cannot be understood.
Answer:
He's 10% service connected for his back. His doc at VA told him whenver he
needed dental treatment let him know and he (the doc) woudl have him
admitted for observation or therapy or something for his back. As an
inpatient due to a service connected condition, he gets dental treatment at
no cost. When the dentist is through, my dad is discharged.
Or at least that's what my dad told me. I make nowaranty as to the accuracy
of the details
Hey, I heard that to I go to the Phx. VA, and I was told that I had to just
complain about having a dental problem while I was admitted and it would be
taken care of . It got something to do with liability on the part of the VA.
You know this raise a big question? As vets we were willing to give up our life
for our country, but now you can't even get health and dental care without
resorting to trickery. God bless America
