I've just been diagnosed with gingivitis. I went to the dentist because
I had bleeding in my mouth. He prescribed vitamins and a special rinse.
In 10 days will return to get teeth cleaned.
I'm very sexually active and promiscuous. I scheduled an appointment with
my HMO, but that will take a month. I plan to get tested for AIDs. What
are the chances the gingivitis might be a sign of something more serious?
Is gingivitis fairly common? What are my chances of getting it?

Do not listen to shirley who might tell you that gingivitis is LINKED
to homosexuality ...... in other words, failure to treat gingivitis
can lead to God knows what, ............ however, it is essential to
get treated by an accredited Register Dental Hygienist, not a dentist
or by an unschooled dental hygienist from Alabama.
Yes people, I use condoms, always. And once a year I do an AIDs
test with my HMO. Recently I've considered changing my promiscous
lifestyle. Only problem is most women want to get married after
going steady for a while and that's more dangerous than HIV:))
The dentist was right, I am probably malnourished as far as vitamins go.
I almost never eat fruit. Eat mostly at restaurants and fast food.
Thanks for the info about 98%. After one or two days of the rinse
treatment, vitamins, and lots of fruit salad, the bleeding has stopped.
I figure if it was AIDs I would have a much tougher time fighting
this menace.
