Question:
When I had my makeup consultation at the Laura Mercier event, the MA who did
my makeup had discolored teeth and they were crooked. I have to admit, that
this alone gave her no credibility with me. I think someone who is giving
me advice, must be someone that I would want to look like and the fact that
her teeth were discolored and crooked, really disgusted me. Anyone else
picky about teeth and the people who are advising you on what to look like?
Answer:
I understand the appreciation for nice teeth, but typically dental work is
considered cosmetic and can be quite expensive. Discoloration can be
temporarily fixed with OTC remedies, but if her teeth were that bad, the OTC
remedies probably wouldn't do much anyway.
I'm a tooth snob.. I don't mean to be, but I am. God's way of laughing at
me is by giving me children with my husband's teeth... I'm getting MUCH
better at not judging people by their teeth.
My point exactly. If they can't figure out how to have white teeth which is
really quite easy, then I won't trust their makeup/camouflage expertise.
Oh, this just made me giggle, Denise. I had to have my bottom teeth
straightened and my husband had to have all of his teeth straightened, but
somehow between the two of us, both sons have perfectly straight white
teeth. What is better, the kids pediatric dentist told me my kids have the
type of saliva that fights cavities. I had no idea there was such a thing.
My poor lonely DD is the only one to have to have braces, but you can bet I
got them for her. She is just about ready to get them off after nearly
three years. Palate had to be split and teeth straightened, poor little
doll.
