Question:
BE WARE OF THE BAD ORTHODONTIST DENTIST!!!!!!!!!! ?
Answer:
The use of headgear and extractions can result in very poor facial profile for
your child. Lack of chin or a pushed in face.
Most dentist will not tell you this but, orthodontic care in many cases is an
experiment at best. Results can vary to dangerous degrees.
When They start pulling perfectly healthy teeth and using growth restricting
headgear to alter your child's natural skull development they are often
just,guessing about the outcome.
Once the teeth are gone they spend the next months tweaking and hopefully with
some skill and sometimes the right guess work they can have a fair result
or at least a less damaging one than some of their less skilled counter parts
do.
Way to many of them put your child in harms way in this process. Good
orthodontist are rare at best. Its truly an art form that has way to few good
artist practicing.
Many dentist who lack the complex skill and self control and who are by no
means artist of any form are hanging up that orthodontic shingle and blindly
stumbling their way threw dangerous waters with innocent children in tow.
The insurance money is there, and there is no one to prevent the clumsiest, and
least artful wannabes from calling themselves orthodontists or preventing them
from getting in over their heads. What is in place to protect them is. "the
standard of care" Its a loophole in the law that will stop you from proving one
of them harmed your kid in a malpractice court of law.
This "standard of care" loophole, brings down the bar or bench mark of quality.
Simply; If other orthodontist are making similar mistakes, then the one who
armed your child cant be held accountable. After all he is as misguided as the
rest and you cant prove he didn't try his darndest to do his best.
A good many of these so called Orthodontist are really hack dentist who should
stick to applying fluoride to teeth instead of messing with the delicate nature
of facial development and interfering with the complex nature of natural growth
of a child's face and head.
What often happens at best is that your child will just receive the less than
attractive "orthodontic look" and hopefully he doesn't end up screwing up the
kids jaw and teeth to the point of needing surgery to fix it or attempt to fix
the damage done.
