Question:
could someone tell me how I can stop my teeth grinding at night. I am on a
low dosage of Ativan . But I dont think that is causing the teeth grinding.
write me if you know
Answer:
My doctor put me on Ativan because I was clenching my teeth at night, .5 right
at bedtime. This has helped me a lot and since then I've continued it for
anxiety also. You might want to talk to your dentist about an apparatus to
wear at night to prevent grinding. Hope this helps!
Dear cooldude. THe Ativan will not cause you to grind your
teeth. Your anxiety is causing the clenching.
Please talk with your dentist to check your teeth for any signs
of wear. Then he will fit you for the proper apparatus to wear
at night.
So far, my teeth are not wearing down but I am noticing more
clenching at night then before.
I am also taking .5 of Ativan at night and it does help with the
anxiety.
I grind my teeth at night.
I don't take Ativan
but I have heard that it can be a side effect on Zoloft, whether that has
any thing to do with anything you ask I don't know:-)
I clench mine until they are so sensitive I can't even drink hot or cold
stuff...The dentist made a family member of mine a thing(for lack of a
better word) for her to put in her mouth at night, a mouth guard! That's
it... wish you luck, it's not good for your teeth, my daughter grinds hers
so bad you can hear it across the house...
