Question:
Has anyone tried the Rembrandt teeth whitening kit. A friend of mine told me
she said her dentist recommended it and that it worked well for her. I was
thinking of picking one up on my next trip to Target or Walmart, or the
drugstore.
Answer:
I assume you are talking about the Rembrandt Plus (silver box) peroxide
whitening kit with the syringes and mouth guards. Yes, it does work.
I used it. I'm a major tea drinker, and my teeth were quite yellow; I
think it helped quite a bit. I've continued using the regular Rembrandt
toothpast. My hygenist comments on how my teeth look better. I did try
Aquafresh Whitening recently, but it irritated my gums, and I went back
to Rembrandt, even though it costs more.
Of course, part of the Rembrandt "system" is brushing your teeth for a
full two minutes at a time. I do this -- count slowly to 120 while
brushing my teeth -- and it's a *loooong* time to brush your teeth.
I've wondered how much of the benefit is from the paste, and how much
from the long brushing!
