Question:
Go Smile 14 day treatment--only on day 2; kind of strange to pop a glass
bottle and use a paper brush and the taste is a bit strong and weird; time
will
tell if it actually works
Answer:
They work and the design and packaging are very trendy-cute but overall, I'm
not very impressed with it. I went through one of the 7 vial compacts and
two of the $75 refill boxes of vials to get the same effect I get with a
week's worth of Crest Whitestrips. The only plus is that my teeth are
EXTREMELY sensitive to tooth whitening products and the Go Smile system
doesn't bother them at all. That's probably only because the peroxide is on
my teeth for such a short time that it won't cause problems. Of course,
since that's the active ingredient, it's also the slowest and most expensive
tooth whitening system I've used so far. I don't for an instant believe the
claims that the Go Smile solution works for 30 minutes after application.
Unless you don't talk, swallow or salivate for 30 minutes, the peroxide
level drops rapidly (as determined both by taste and a crude assay for
peroxide I did using tooth swabs I took immediately after Go Smile
application and at 5 minute increments after that). There's nothing holding
the Go Smile fluid there the way the strip holds the peroxide gel in a
Whitestrip against your teeth for the full 30 minute treatment period.
